Information we do not collect
ZoneFig is a static website. Every calculator, planner, and lookup runs entirely in your browser from data shipped with the page. The values you type — your ZIP code, garden size, fertilizer numbers, planting dates — are never transmitted to our servers, never stored by us, and are not accessible to us in any form. There is no account system, no login, no profile, and no database of what you looked up. We do not sell, rent, trade, or broker personal information to anyone.
Browser storage
Some features save a small amount of state in your browser’s local storage so the page behaves sensibly if you refresh or return later — for example, the record of which consent choice you made. That data stays on your device, is not readable by us, and is removed when you clear your browser’s site data.
Cookies and advertising
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-5014006117898962, published in ads.txt). The AdSense script is loaded only after you give consent through the cookie banner on this site. If you decline, or if you leave the banner unanswered, no advertising script is loaded and no advertising cookies are set. You can reopen the banner at any time to change your choice.
When you do consent, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and may measure the performance of those ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through the controls below:
Declining advertising cookies does not restrict any part of the site. Every calculator and printable sheet works the same way.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID beginning G-DDLRR66H0T) to understand which pages and tools are used, so we can tell what is worth maintaining. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information about your visit — including pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interactions such as clicks — and that data is processed by Google under its own terms.
We do not enable Google Signals, advertising personalisation, or remarketing on this property, and we do not join analytics data to any other dataset to identify you. You can block or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings without losing access to any part of the site, and Google publishes a Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on that blocks measurement across sites that use it. Browser tracking protection, private browsing modes, and content blockers also prevent the measurement script from running.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under applicable data protection laws, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. Third-party links
We link to external resources — USDA and NOAA publications, state cooperative extension services, and other reference material — so you can verify a figure at its source. Those sites have their own privacy practices and may set their own cookies; we are not responsible for their content or data handling, and a link is not an endorsement.
Children’s privacy
ZoneFig is a general-audience gardening reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and because there is no account system there is nothing for a child to register for. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We retain aggregated analytics data for up to 26 months, which is Google Analytics’ default retention setting. Your cookie and consent preferences persist in your browser’s local storage until you clear your site data or change your choice. We hold no other data about you.
Security
This site is served as static files over HTTPS. There is no server-side application holding user data to breach, which is the main reason the design keeps all computation in the browser.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the site’s practices change — for example if analytics providers or advertising arrangements change. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
